Successful Graduate Cheryl Kneebone
I work full time in the local hospital as a Medical Laboratory Assistant. A few years ago I injured my back and was off long term sick and very bored. I was watching daytime television and there was a piece about nail art and it caught my interest. It was around Halloween time so with the help of the Internet and some old polish and make up brushes from our bedroom, I spent a lovely afternoon painting mummies on my nails. When my husband, Paul, returned from work he saw what I had done and was very impressed. Knowing how bored and frustrated I was at being stuck at home and how much I had enjoyed my afternoon, the first for a very long time, he suggested I try and find a nail art course I could do from home. I fired up Google and Essential Nails was the first on the list and after some very extensive research I decided Essential Nails was the one for me.
In December 2012 I started Essential Nails Nail Art course and passed with a distinction in January 2013.
In April 2013 I passed Freehand Art Master.
In June 2013 Gel Nails.
In October 2013 One Stroke Master.
In February 2014 Acrylic Art Master and October 2014 UV Gel Polish.
I have also placed several times in Essential Nails Competitions.
Today (April 2015) I have just received a phone call from EN to tell me that I have just passed my UV Gel Pro Expert course and that my own designs, using the techniques I learnt during this course had been judged to be the best received and I had won the monthly competition to receive my course fee back.
My amazing and very supportive husband has made me a nail salon in one of our spare rooms and I run my little business in there in the evenings and weekends, when I am not at the hospital. I am hoping that one day I will be able to work in there full time.
Thanks to EN this might become possible, for the first time I would have a job that I really love. All the staff at EN are amazing, customer service second to none, help is always at hand if you get stuck with your course work. Thank you to all of you for helping me on my journey.
